Acceptance of the Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Blocify! The Blocify mobile application, website and other services (collectively, the "Services") are owned and operated by Blocify Ltd, a limited liability company based in the United Kingdom ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy  ("Privacy Policy") describes how we collect and use your information in relation to the Services, and is a legally binding contract which governs your interaction with the Services. We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy at our sole discretion and all changes made are effective immediately. By using the Services, you accept the terms in this Privacy Policy which are subject to our Terms of Use.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by the Company or any third party; or any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the Services.

 

1. Account Age Restrictions

1.1 The Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. No one under the age of 13 may provide any information including, without limitation, their name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any user name on, to, or through the Services including, without limitation, any of its features, or registration processes. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information relating to a child under the age of 13, please contact us at contact@blocify.app.

1.2 Children between the ages of 13 and 17 inclusive require the consent of a parent or guardian to register or interact with the Services. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 inclusive, by using the Services, you agree that you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

 

2. Collection, processing, and use of personal information

2.1 We collect several types of personally identifiable and non personally identifiable information from and about users of the Services. This includes display name and email address, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information"). We also collect information that is about you but individually does not identify you, such as birth date and age, climb information, location, the equipment you use to access our Services, and usage details.

2.2 We collect this information directly from you when you provide it to us on registration, or automatically as you use the Services. 

2.3 We use personal information to create, develop, deliver, operate, and improve the Services, or to inform you of any changes to them. Your personal information may be passed on to third parties for further processing if this is done for the purpose of processing the contract or if you have given your prior consent. The storage of your data takes place according to the legal regulations.

2.4 You also may provide information to be published, displayed or used (hereinafter, "posted") on public areas of the Services, or transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties (collectively, "User Contributions"). User Contributions are posted on the Services at your own risk. We do not claim to be able to control the actions of other users of the Services with whom you may choose to not share your User Contributions with, and therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorised users.

 

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

3.1 We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

3.2 We disclose personal information that you provide or that we collect as described in this Privacy Policy:

3.2.1 To our subsidiaries and affiliates, pursuant to a contractual arrangement and subject to the terms of this Policy.

3.2.2 To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business. These contractors are under contractual obligations to us to secure the personal information we provide them, and not to use personal information for any purpose other than at our direction.

3.2.3 To third party sponsors of competitions or sweepstakes offered through the Services with your consent.

3.2.4 To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganisation, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about our Services users is among the assets transferred. Should such a transfer take place, the personal information shall only be used in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

3.2.5 To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.

3.2.6 With your consent for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

3.2.7 To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

3.2.8 To enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements.

3.2.9 If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers or others.

 

4. Access and Correction of Personal Information

4.1 You can review, update, or correct your personal information by sending an email to us at personalinformation@blocify.app to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement, or cause the information to be incorrect.

4.2 If you delete your User Contributions from the Services, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Services users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Services, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms of Use.

 

5. Retention of Personal Information

5.1 If you decide to close and delete your account from the Services, we will no longer collect your personal information. We will, however, retain your Personal Information that was collected prior to terminating your account in case you wish to reactivate your account in the future.

6. International Users

6.1 Our digital operations are conducted, in whole or in part, in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Regardless of where you live, you consent to have your personal data transferred, processed and stored in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and allow us to use and collect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

7. Data Security

7.1 Measures are in place to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorised access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers and is encrypted while in transit.

7.2 Where we have given, or where you have chosen a password for access to our Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

7.3 Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We accept no responsibility or liability for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures employed on the Services.

 

8. Changes to our Privacy Policy

8.1 Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. The date that our Privacy Policy was last revised is at the top of this page. If we make changes to how we manage our users' personal information, we will notify you by email to the email address specified in your account, and we will seek your consent before using your personal information for any additional purposes we identify. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date, active, and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Services and this Privacy Policy to check for any changes.
